Why not to wear Indian costumes.

 

If you or your friend dress up as an Indian then it can cause identity problems for a little kid. Also it is very offending and disrespectful to who they are and their tribe. According to Joven Adams her son had an identity crisis when he entered vacation bible school all of the kids wore headbands and feathers as an “Indian theme” Danny questioned his identity as an Indian because he has never dressed like that.

 

Why western T.V. shows are not accurate about Indians  

 

On wester T.V. shows, Indians are always the ones killing people and doing bad stuff, therefore Native kids may not want to be Indian because they think that all Indians are bad. As a result people will think that Indians are all bad guys. Many actors have turned down the roll of the Indian in western shows because they say that the feathers are sacred  and nobody used them in times like that, and they are being racist thinking that they only kill and are bad

 

Solution 

 

As you can see from these examples, when non – Native people dress up as Indians on Halloween or any time it causes identity problems for all of them that is why you don’t dress up as Indian’s. If you want to help this problem you should stay away from the Indian costume zone of stores or websites so it does not go to your recommended so it will not pop up and be there if you search costumes because it will know that you have tried to find some and try to sell you one because it will think that you want one. Also if you know someone that has sold something online or has a good tick tock, facetime, or twitter that ask them to make something saying what I just said, or just make it a simple, if you see this please do not wear Indian costumes it is very disrespectful to their colcher and they probably don’t even to it so please do not. That little sentence can spread and spread till you just saved about 25 people from buying these disrespectful costumes. Do you think that i am right with all of my writing?
